Dr. Lalit S. Kanodia, the Founder and Chairman of Datamatics Group of Companies, is one of the pioneers in the Indian Software and Offshore Services industry. He founded Datamatics in 1975, prior to which he was instrumental in setting up Tata Consultancy Services in 1967.
As the Chief Mentor at Datamatics, Dr. Kanodia drives all innovation, new product development and quality initiatives. His inspirational leadership has led Datamatics to be conferred with various prestigious awards and recognitions over the years.
Dr. Kanodia is the President of the IMC Chamber of Commerce & Industry and the Indo American Chamber of Commerce (IACC). He was also the Honorary Consul General of Chile in Mumbai, India for over a decade (2002 – 2014).
Dr. Kanodia is currently on the Executive Board of MIT (Europe, Asia and Africa). After obtaining a degree in engineering from India’s premier technology institute, IIT, Bombay, Dr. Kanodia completed his Doctorate in Management and post-graduation in Computer Science from the MIT (USA).
Stan Sthanunathan joined Unilever in July 2013 as Executive Vice President of Consumer & Market Insights. As chief provocateur, he heads up the insights function globally and is based in London.
Prior to joining Unilever, he was Vice President of Marketing Strategy & Insights for The Coca-Cola Company in Atlanta, heading up the function on a global basis.
Some of his external affiliations include Patron and Fellow of The Market Research Society in the UK, past Board Member of The ARF, NY. He was also the Chairman of On-Line Data Quality of ARF. He is a regular keynote speaker in various industry conferences like ESOMAR Congress, MRS, ARF, Ilex, IIR, IRI to name a few. He also lectured on insights at Cambridge Judge Business School, Sloan Business School, Yale, Wharton, Emory Goizueta Business School, University of Wisconsin. Stan has also co-authored a book titled AI for Marketing and Product Innovation.
Over a career spanning 16 years, he has demonstrated history of working in leadership positions covering different facets of the Broadcast & Digital industry. This has included content acquisition, partnerships with content creators, Gaming and 2nd Screen Interactivity Initiatives, Digital Content Creation, Revenue maximisation for Digital Products, Consumer insight generation.
Recently he has been entrusted to lead all Content, Partnerships, Gaming & 2nd Screen Initiatives for Sony LIV (Digital Business for Sony Pictures Network India).
He is passionate about bridging the gap between Media Industry and Academia and regularly visit several management institutes including MICA as guest faculty. He also enjoys reading & listening to Urdu poetry.
Sunil Kataria is CEO - India & SAARC, Godrej Consumer Products Limited (GCPL).
A graduate in Economics from Delhi University, Sunil is also an MBA in Marketing from the Institute of Management Technology (IMT) Ghaziabad.
Sunil joined GCPL in 2011 to oversee the sales and marketing organisation for the India and SAARC businesses. He has successfully led the merger of the sales and marketing organisations of GCPL and the erstwhile Godrej Sara Lee, combining the best of both companies and leveraging their complementary strengths to create a future ready platform to accelerate GCPL's growth and profit trajectory. Under his leadership, the GCPL sales and marketing organisation has
become more world class with sharpened and enhanced capabilities.
Sunil has diverse work experience across the FMCG and Consumer services sectors in Sales, Marketing and business roles. He had a long and highly successful stint of 12 years at Marico Industries. Post this, Sunil has also served as business head in two challenging service sectors: retail and telecom, leading large and complex business operations. Prior to joining the Godrej Group, Sunil was Chief Operating Officer at Idea Rajasthan Circle, where he headed business operations and was responsible for the P&L of the Rajasthan Circle. He also led a major turnaround of the Idea Rajasthan business, overcoming serious business constraints and a challenging period of price wars in the telecom industry to emerge as the largest gainer in revenue
as well as subscriber shares.
Sunil is currently serving as the chairman of the Indian Society of Advertisers (ISA). He has built very strong relationships and equity with marketing bodies such as the CMO forum, FICCI FMCG committee and ASCI. He has also been recognised at a national level by being nominated for the "Marketer of the Year" 2014 award by the International Advertising Association (IAA) of India. Sunil has also been shortlisted as one of the "Top 10 influential CMOs of India - 2015" at the Indian Marketing Awards anchored by the exchange4media group.
Sunil is a staunch believer and practitioner of the spirit of 'Possibility Thinking' and feels that this, coupled with a passion for flawless execution, is the biggest competitive advantage in today's world. An avid reader of books across genres, he also writes Hindi poetry in his spare time. He is a movie buff, who loves watching Hindi movies and Hollywood science fiction.
